Marcie McSwane joined the Downey McGrath Group, Inc. in August 2009 as an Associate. Marcie is responsible for the schedule of the firm’s President, Ray McGrath, as well as arranging congressional, executive, and internal meetings for the firm’s clients and assisting in other office projects.
Marcie worked on Capitol Hill for Representative Frank Lucas (OK-03) before accepting her current position at Downey McGrath Group, Inc. She was responsible for scheduling meetings for the district office, Washington D.C. office, and Agriculture Committee, where Congressman Lucas serves as the Republican Ranking Member, as well as coordinating with Congressman Lucas’s other House Committees, Financial Services and Science and Technology. Marcie also maintained financial records and ordered all office supplies and equipment as the office manager. |

Prior to her employment in Congressman Lucas’s office, she worked in Representative Louie Gohmert’s (TX-01) office, working her way up from intern to Legislative Correspondent and Staff Assistant . In addition to writing letters to constituents addressing legislative issues, Marcie also attended hearings for the House Judiciary, Natural Resources and Small Business Committees.
Marcie is originally from Tyler, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas with a B.A. degree in Communications and a minor in Business. Her strong background in administration and experience on Capitol Hill make her an invaluable asset to
