Downey
McGrath Group, Inc. offers an unpaid
internship program to interested
students in the summer, fall, and
spring semesters. The program
is open to qualified college
students, recent college graduates,
and graduate students and is
designed to introduce students to
the day-to-day business of a
government affairs consulting
firm. Interns are expected to
work full time, Monday through
Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. We will also consider applicants
who
may be able to work less than full
time due to their academic schedule.
Interested candidates should send
their resumes, via email, with a
cover letter indicating when they
are interested in interning at the
Downey McGrath Group, and a writing
sample to:

Candidates
must demonstrate good oral and
written communication skills, a
genuine interest in the field of
public affairs, and the ability to
assume responsibility, prioritize
and organize their work, and think
creatively. Candidates should
possess excellent research skills,
and should be interested and
familiar with the legislative
process. Applications will be
reviewed as they are received.
Placement decisions are based upon
the anticipated workload during a
given period, and on the
qualifications of the candidates
applying for internships.
